Festival VIPs
Several prominent members of the community have committed to attending the Festival. Below are a sampling of the names and short biographies of those who are attending as well as those who, although unable to attend this year's Festival, have made their support known through their time, energy, and donations. This page will be updated as additional RSVPs are received.
Major Reginald R. Brown, Sr.
Major Reginald R. Brown, Sr., was elected as Baton Rouge City Constable in 2000 and has served the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office for over 20 years. A member of St. Joseph's Cathedral, he has devoted much of his time to community service projects including: Holiday Helpers of Baton Rouge, the Alcohol/Drug Detox Board, 100 Black Men, the Louisiana Bar Disciplinary Board, the Knights of Columbus Council 969, the Speech and Hearing Foundation, and the Southern Law Enforcement Foundation. Major Brown has received many awards for his service including the Presidents of U.S.A. Law Enforcement of the Year Award (1995), the Governor's Award for Outstanding Service (1998), and the FBI Directors Community Leadership Award (2001). He will be attending the Festival.
Anne Rice

Anne Rice is one of America's most popular fantasy authors. She has written 23 books to date under 3 pen names including the infamous Vampire Chronicles, which began with her first book (Interview with a Vampire) published in 1976. On October 16, 2001 Rice continued the Chronicles with the release of her latest work, Blood and Gold, already hailed by fans and critics alike as another in a long line of masterpieces. Despite not scheduling a booksigning tour for the release of Blood and Gold, Anne is donating a signed copy of the book for our silent auction.

   
   
Kerr Cuhulain
Phoenix McFarland
A former Air Force officer, Kerr Cuhulain has been a police officer for the past twenty years, and a Wiccan for thirty. In addition to festival appearances he is the author of The Law Enforcement Guide to Wicca and Wiccan Warrior: Walking a Spiritual Path in a Sometimes Hostile World. Kerr is donating a signed book for our silent auction. Phoenix McFarland describes herself as "an irreverent Wiccan Priestess." She is the author of The Complete Book of Magical Names. She has had many articles and poems published in Pagan publications, including the column "Rainforest Echoes" in "Hole in the Stone Wiccan Journal". Phoenix is donating a signed book for out silent auction.
Kristin Madden

Kristin Madden is a licensed Avatar Master; a Druid and tutor in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids; and a former environmental chemist. She is the author of Pagan Parenting: Spiritual, Magical & Emotional Development of the Child and The Shamanic Guide to Death & Dying; she is also a wildlife rehabilitator and raptor researcher. Kristin is donating a signed book for our silent auction.
